Lab Stockroom - Clerk I

SUMMARY
Maintain lens inventory.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Primary Duties

Sign for and distribute boxes from UPS.
Receive lenses in DVI and place in tray or bin as needed per SOP #PUR2007
Fold and insert work tickets into trays.
Scan tray and lenses to verify accuracy.
Sort trays by date and deliver to next workstation.
Short order lenses as needed.
Fill stock orders received via email.
Bill stock orders
Pull lenses for breakage trays on a timely basis.
Scan trays correctly to next workstation
Sort all trays by date as noted on table in surface department.
Order and received frames using DVI frame purchase orders.
Maintain a supply of trays using one of the carts provided.
Keep lens inventory stocked as time permits.
Conduct daily cycle count and record on spreadsheet per SOP# OPS2007
Keep clean inventory and return overstock monthly as per SOP # OPS2008
Perform yearly inventory count as per SOP #OPS2009
Train to work in the shipping department.

Secondary Duties

Cross-Train in other positions
Keep workstation clean.

QUALIFICATIONS
Education

High School Diploma or GED preferred.

Experience

None required.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Able and willing to work as a team.
Able to read and write English Language well.
Have good computer skills, attention to detail and patience.
Work without supervision
Must be available to work Overtime and Saturdays when needed.

Physical Requirements

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to standard reach with hands and arms. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 30 pounds.

Safety Requirements

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
Basic understanding of the Injury and Illness Prevention Program and the Hazard Communication Program
Closed toe shoe with heel support.
