POSITION SUMMARY: The Lab Implementation Specialist provides professional SoftLAB, system suite applications support, troubleshooting and training to an assigned number of upgrade or simple implementation clients.

Provides SoftLAB system suite applications support as needed for coverage of non-assigned clients and regulatory or compliance issues. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Provides guidance, remote and onsite support services, training and troubleshooting for the SoftLAB system suite applications to assigned clients to ensure that contractual obligations are met within the defined project scope and time frame.

Responsible for establishing complete familiarity with and adhering to the project plan and activities for assigned projects. Insures that the SoftLAB system suite applications is configured and implemented to utilize existing capabilities as they relate to client requirements, and to utilize new functionality as it becomes available during the project. Meets all project reporting requirements (both internally and externally) and escalates issues proactively as needed.

Complies with all approved procedures, directives and guidelines. Performs other duties as assigned. JOB SPECIFICATIONS:

Education Required: A Bachelor's Degree in a Healthcare related field (Biology, Microbiology, etc.) or Computer Science. Bachelor of Science Degree in Medical Technology is highly desirable.

Certification or License in a clinical related field (MT/MLS, MLT, Chemistry, Hematology, Immunohematology, Microbiology, etc.) by either the State of Florida, ASCP, ASMT or other national certifying organizations is required. Must at least have an Associate's Degree. Experience Required: 2-3 years previous experience in a healthcare or clinical laboratory setting, or related computer position is required.

Previous experience in a clinical laboratory field as a Medical Technologist or related position is required.

Previous experience with implementation or support of healthcare information systems or use of SCC SoftLAB is preferred. Previous experience with SoftLAB v4.5 is highly desirable.

Previous experience with laboratory quality control and regulatory requirements is a plus. Skills Required: Excellent teaching, presentation, attention to detail, and communication skills.

Position requires the ability to work independently, yet perform effectively in a team environment. Should also posses excellent planning and organizational skills. Must have the ability to work effectively under stress.

Intermediate computer skills required. Travel Required: Yes, up to 40%.
