Medical Laboratory Scientist (MT/MLT/CLS/CLT) - Part Time, Weekends, Nights position in the Lab Unit at Lutheran Health Network

• Eligible for sign on bonus up to $35,000!
• Part Time

• 24 hours per week; Call, weekend and holiday rotation may be required

• Hours: 3a-3:30p every Sat/Sun - eligible for weekend premium pay AND shift differential!
• Eligible for up to $10,000 in student loan repayment! Eligible for tuition reimbursement and certification reimbursement as well.

Job Summary:

• Performs manual and automated routine blood tests. Prepares specimens for microscope examination. Operates laboratory equipment including centrifuges, dry bath incubators, and blood bank refrigerators. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is expected.

• Under the immediate direction of designated laboratory management, performs a variety of analytical determinations on body fluids and tissue samples using established and approved protocols which require the broad exercise of independent judgment and responsibility with minimal technical support.

• Serves as a technical resource to medical laboratory technician staff. Typically reports to supervisor or manager.

Minimal Acceptable Job Qualifications:

• Requires graduation from an accredited MT program and passing a national exam given by the Board of Registry of the American Society for Clinical Pathology.

• Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.
