LAB Research Chemist/Physicist/Engineer III

Volt is immediately hiring a Lab Research Process Engineer in Maplewood, MN with a well-known industry leader.

This is a first shift position.

As a Lab Research Process Engineer, you will:

• Advance development of WebLine process used for production of nanoparticle powders.

• Identify, design and implement improved processing methods which increase production rates and yields.

• Design and implement laboratory scale WebLine process to support laboratory development objectives

• Support nanoparticle powder production activities for laboratory development activities.

• Document development work in periodic formal written reports or other relevant formats.

• Perform additional tasks as directed.

Estimated Duration up to 24 months.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution

• Minimum of two (2) years' experience in a professional laboratory environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering from an accredited institution

• Two years of experience in web handling and converting.

• Two years of experience with processing of powders.

• Two years of experience in process development at pilot or production scales.

• Demonstrated ability to effectively work independently and within team environments, written technical communication, and ability to work on several parallel projects simultaneously.

Pay Rate: $37.00-38.00 hr.

• Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
