Position Summary Utilizes information systems to process requisitions for materials, supplies and equipment from Orlando Health authorized laboratory supply vendors. This position is responsible for ordering products and supplies for the entire laboratory, working with internal and external vendors, customer service, CINTAS lab coat monitoring and ordering, unloading of product (requires manual labor), inventory management, supply and product organization, excel and customer service expertise.

Schedule: Monday through Friday; 7:30am to 4:00pm. Responsibilities Essential Functions • Ensures cost effective procurement of these products and communicates appropriately with vendors and internal customers. • Communicates back ordered products to the appropriate laboratory team members and coordinates the procurement of alternative products as needed. • Assures that product supplies are not over stocked and that expiration dates are not allowed to elapse prior to the products consumption. • Organizes and maintains files, records and reports related to purchasing activities within the laboratory. • Resolves all ordering issues and arranges for delivery timing and location. • Reviews purchasing contracts to assure that vendors are in compliance with stated requirements. • Interacts with the department managers to resolve discrepancies in the Journal Entry reports each month. • Acts under the direction of the managers to resolve these issues. • Assists the managers in product research as needed. • Maintains reasonably regular, punctual attendance consistent with Orlando Health policies, the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards. • Maintains compliance with all Orlando Health policies and procedures. Other Related Functions • Performs secretarial and/or administrative duties for the laboratory. • Oversees the daily activity of the supply clerk offering assistance and direction as needed. • Responsible for maintaining an active role in the laboratory quality improvement program. • Maintains confidentiality of patient record, hospital and departmental matters at all times.

Qualifications Education/Training High school diploma or equivalent. Computer skills to include word processing and spreadsheet creation.

Licensure/Certification None. Experience One (1) year of purchasing or laboratory experience.
