About the Unit

Corewell Health Zeeland Lab is a high volume and fast paced environment with a great customer service team. A great place to learn and grow skills in the Healthcare system.

Scope of Work

Works under the supervision within Laboratory. Consistently create an exceptional experience with each contact, via inbound and outbound calls, online chat, email, etc. Adheres to established procedure and quality guidelines in support of Patient Access Services Center performance indicators, as well as Corporate values and codes of excellence. Greet and communicates in a manner consistent with caring and respect and dealing with confidentiality. Serves as a resource to patients, lab clients, and team members regarding specimen requirements and processing. May utilize standard venipuncture techniques to collect appropriate blood specimens.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent and graduate of a Phlebotomy training program preferred

• Associate's Degree in Healthcare related field preferred

• 1 year relevant experience dealing with public, preferably in the medical or customer service field is preferred

• Phlebotomy Technician certification through NHA preferred
