Kingman Regional Medical Center (KRMC) seeks to hire a Laboratory Outreach Specialist for our team who will embrace our mission to serve our community with compassion and commitment.

Knowledge, Skills, Education, & Experience:

Education: High School graduate or equivalent.

Experience: Onsite KRMC training.

Skills:

  • Must be able to handle stressful situations inherent to collection and dispatch of urgent medical

laboratory testing results.

  • Must possess good organizational skills and have the ability to deal effectively with the hospital

staff.

  • Exhibits effective AIDET skills and focuses on customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

The Laboratory Outreach Specialist (LOS) is expected to have a well-rounded skill set of venipuncture and or capillary blood collection on patients of all demographic types while adhering to the order of draw and ensuring proper patient identification. An in-depth knowledge of the registration systems is a must. LOS will have a thorough understanding of AIDET, customer satisfaction, HIPAA, safety, and all regulatory agency rule and regulations.

LOS will be able to show initiative by managing their workload without direction on a daily basis and helping their teammates. Volunteering to help cover breaks or traveling to an outreach department to help collect a hard stick are great examples of showing initiative. Helping management cover vacations and call offs whenever possible will also show initiative.
