Precigen is a dedicated discovery and clinical stage biopharmaceutical company advancing the next generation of gene and cell therapies using precision technology to target the most urgent and intractable diseases in our core therapeutic areas of immuno-oncology, autoimmune disorders, and infectious diseases.

Precigen has developed novel manufacturing processes to deliver UltraCAR-T and AdenoVerse immunotherapies to patients. We have multiple products being evaluated in the clinic using our innovative manufacturing approach to cell and gene therapies.

In support of these efforts, we are seeking a hard-working Lab Operations Coordinator, Quality Control who is serious about their discipline and wants to be a key player in a high-performing team. This position will support Sample Management, Stability Management, Sample Shipping, Outside Testing Services and Raw Materials. This is a cross-functional position which would require collaboration with different departments such as manufacturing, supply chain, facilities, and testing groups.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Support activities within the scope of the Lab Operations Group:

  • Sample Management and Stability management processes such as sample submission, receipt, shipment, Purchase order generation, etc.

  • Coordination of testing with Outside Testing Laboratories

  • Support implementation activities related to the Raw Material Program

  • Ensure proper handling and storage of samples and materials per procedures.

  • Support the QC sample retain program.

  • Author quality documents such as standard operating procedures, stability assessment reports, stability protocols, submission forms, etc.

  • Assist in implementing process improvements and new processes as directed by the Lab Operations Manager.

  • Perform additional duties as needed.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • BS / BA and 2+ years of Quality Control experience.

  • GMP experience with excellent attention to detail.

  • Previous experience authoring quality documents.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; Able to work cross-functionality.

  • Open to learn and implement new processes.

DESIRED KEY COMPETENCIES:

  • Ability to effectively collaborate amongst individuals.

  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills are essential in this collaborative work environment.

  • Comfortable in a fast-paced small company environment with minimal direction and able to adjust workload based on upon changing priorities.
