Define, design, and implement network communications and solutions within a fast-paced, leading edge database/applications company.

Perform performance trend analysis and manage the server/network capacity. React to potential problems using automation, scheduling, and monitoring tools -- escalating to management where appropriate. Participate in configuration and implement technical solutions to enhance and/or troubleshoot the system. Responsible for support documentation as well.

Duties and tasks are standard with some variation. Completes own role largely independently within defined policies and procedures. 2-4 years of related experience in a medium to large network distributed and computing environment. BS in Computer Science or related field.

We are seeking a motivated individual with networking and engineering lab management experience. The individual will be responsible for writing and executing lab policies relating to cabling, power consumption, connectivity and overall lab cleanliness. He or she must have strong written and verbal communication skills and feel comfortable engaging in a fast moving productive environment. The individual selected will work closely work with facilities and Engineering Operations to provide Oracle lab standardization and compliance. The individual will be responsible for maintaining Development and QA equipment and infrastructures.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintain multiple engineering labs that includes various engineering, VOIP, Data and switching equipment.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Visio or equivalent process mapping tools for tracking current engineering environment

  • Provide detailed rack infrastructure design and information such as power, cabling, switching and lab layouts.

  • Manage and administer hardware and software in engineering lab environment.

  • Assist in the deployment of Oracle purpose built systems, new virtual systems, and network equipment.

  • Assist in troubleshooting networking issues within Oracle engineering labs.

  • Administer asset tracking and inventory of lab equipment.

  • Assist in the design, implementation, and maintenance of lab infrastructure and expansion.

  • Assist in racking and cabling of new hardware while maintaining existing infrastructure.

  • Prepare and maintain documentation to include Network and System configurations

  • Knowledge of various networking security and compliance a plus

Desired Skills and Experience

EXPERIENCE:
5 years or more of system administration experience, preferably in an engineering environment. 2 years or more of network administration experience, preferably in an engineering environment.

System Administration: Prefer a minimum of 5 years' experience with Telco, Data Center or equivalent.

Experience with SIP, RTP, RTCP, Network test equipment (EXFO, Spirent)

REQUIRED SKILLS

Experience maintaining and supporting Oracle Virtual Management environment.

Good working knowledge of routers, switches, Firewalls, and VPNs

Experience maintaining and supporting virtual servers.

Knowledge of IPv4, IPv6 and associated routing protocols.

Knowledge of the Linux, UNIX, Windows operating system.

Knowledge of hypervisors (Vmware, KVM, OVM)

Experience with CLI, UNIX shells (e.g. BASH et ..), shell scripting, various OS level daemon services including but not limited to SMTP, SNMP, NTP, DNS, crond, Centrify, HTTPd, etc.

Experience maintaining and supporting Windows Servers.

Experience maintaining and supporting Linux servers.

Proficient in scripting (Perl, Python, TCL) a plus.

EDUCATION:

Bachelor's degree in computer sciences or equivalent experience in lab and data center design, maintenance and support

Duration: 7 months Location: Bedford, MA Job Title: Manufacturing Laboratory Technician Work Hours: M-F 6AM-2:30 OR 7AM-3:30P Daily Duties Works in Sterile Processing prepping and preparing Biocoat and Reagent equipment and utensils along with autoclaving. Works in a team environment keeping to a schedule and timing out the process to clean and sterilize equipment. * Performs standard mixtures of cleaning products for sterile process. * Follows washing and drying schedule according to sterile requirements per SOP. * May assist in quality control testing on a variety of issues. * Interacts with Quality Assurance to identify non-conformance issues. * Uses autoclave schedule to perform sterile processing transactions. * Assembles kits and performs simple vialing and media production. * Uses ERP system to perform production transactions. * Participates in other plant activities including Kaizens and 5S blitzes Working Conditions: * Working conditions are in a wet and open space. * Work in clean rooms, general lab, autoclave and cold room ranging from 2 to minus 20 degrees Celsius, where specified PPE for each area is required. * Frequently lifts and/or moves material and/or objects up to 25 pounds. * May handle hazardous material in controlled environment.
