Responsible for high level operation of the Clinical Pathology and Sample Logistics groups including budget and forecasting, scheduling, compliance, staff recruitment and retention, continuous improvement, resource allocation, and staff management and growth.
How you will contribute to make a difference
Actively managing the activities of staff to ensure timely, quality delivery to all customers and adherence to budget and compliance expectations.
Ensuring that all equipment is maintained in a GLP compliant manner, and staff are properly trained in its use and maintenance.
Actively leads continuous improvement and implementation of best practice.
Promptly reporting key metrics and actively addressing issues identified via such metrics.
Effectively using and monitoring management tools to drive productivity.
Ensure Protocols and SOPs are effectively utilized to maintain sample quality, integrity, and regulatory compliance.
Communicate with sponsor, regulators and internal customers as necessary. Effectively interact with Scientific staff to support goals of study.
Implementing strategies aimed at improving efficiency and current processes such as the implementation of Sample Management Systems.
Perform staff appraisal review, set objectives, and create performance metrics.

Bachelor's or Master's degree in a scientific discipline or equivalent experience.
Subject matter expertise commensurate with role to ensure scientific integrity is maintained and best practice and current industry standards employed.
Ability to effectively lead a team, and coach, motivate and supervise staff
