In keeping with the Dignity Health core values, the Lab Clinical Tech supports and promotes the provision of quality patient care. The Lab Clinical Tech actively participates as a team member in the systems, functions and activities of the unit/department.
This position is represented by SEIU, Local UHW and is covered by the terms and conditions of the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
CPR and phlebotomy certification required
Must have a High School education and successful completion of the State of California approved Phlebotomy Training Program
Valid California driver's license required. Meets all Dignity Health requirements for driving.
Six (6) months recent hospital experience as a Clinical Technician / Phlebotomist preferred
Ability to communicate effectively in English both verbally and in writing, clearly, concisely, and accurately.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
Ability to operate common office equipment including computers.
Knowledge of medical terminology and basic procedures.
Ability to use the computer and perform basic outpatient laboratory registration and ordering of laboratory tests.
