Position Overview

The Antigen Map is a collaborative project between Adaptive Biotechnologies and Microsoft which will use immune sequencing coupled with machine learning to decode the relationship between a T cell receptor sequence and its antigen specificity. As a member of the Antigen Map Production Lab, you will contribute to the generation of the samples required to generate this TCR-Antigen

Responsibilities

  • Monitor inventory levels and formulate reagents as needed

  • Stock and stage materials to support operations

  • Handle biohazardous and chemical waste

  • Support cell isolation, expansion and stimulation as requested

  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in a biological science

  • Attention to detail and ability to follow written procedures; prior experience working to Standard Operating Procedures and documenting batch records desirable

  • Prior role as lab assistant and knowledge of sterile technique

  • Prior exposure to tissue culture and/or flow cytometry a plus

Position Overview Adaptive is currently seeking highly motivated and qualified candidates for the Laboratory Assistant role in Seattle, WA. This successful candidate will be responsible for performing various tasks to support the laboratory technical staff including equipment maintenance and calibration, monitoring and stocking of supplies and reagents, and overall cleanliness of the laboratory work-spaces within the Molecular Product Development (MPD) laboratory. Responsibilities * Responsible for all aspects of the lab including equipment, supplies, software, and documentation. * Perform routine instrument calibration, assist facilities with IQ/OQ of instruments (PQ as needed), and track and schedule instrument maintenance. * Monitor laboratory supplies and restock consumables and reagents as needed. * Responsible for the preparation of commonly shared reagents within the MPD group. * Facilitate and manage all special orders items that are not routinely stocked in the laboratory. * Perform routine daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning of the lab space as well as routine lab safety procedures. * Work cross-functionally with other groups sharing the lab space to ensure that day to day operations are running smoothly. * Monitoring instrument status and responsible for addressing equipment that is measuring out of range. * Other duties as assigned. Requirements * The successful candidate will have a BA/BS degree in molecular genetics, immunology, bioengineering, or a related field. Experience working in an ISO-13485 is preferred. * 1-3 years of experience in a diagnostic, medical device, or life sciences company. * Minimum 1 year of experience with regulated IVD product development laboratory. * Familiarity with ISO, CLIA, CAP, CLEP, GXP. * Excellent communication and organizational skills with significant attention to detail. * Familiarity with NGS technology is preferred. Work is generally performed in a BSL-2 laboratory environment and will involve the handling of human biological specimens as well as standing, lifting of materials, and frequent walking.
