Lab Associate

Description:

seeking an experienced Laboratory Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess the ability to multi-task effectively, have at least 1 year of laboratory experience, have strong interpersonal communication skills, and have a passion for science.

The Laboratory Assistant will be responsible for maintaining regular communication with research personnel, monitoring research progress and performing quality control tests. Duties include: 1. Receiving incoming samples for testing: a.

Enter all pertinent information into our Laboratory Information Maintenance System (LIMs). b. Review information for completeness. c. Open client packages, review order documents for completion, label samples. d.

Release samples ready for testing to the laboratory. e. Receiving of laboratory consumables, chemicals, and standards. 2. Laboratory Operations Support, including: a.

Maintains good laboratory housekeeping practices, cleans testing equipment and work areas. b. Cleaning Glassware/ Lab maintenance. c. Performs chemical waste disposal complying with safety rules using proper protective equipment at all times. d.

Executes and organizes departmental purchasing of consumables and chemicals and performs routine expiration checks. e. Prepares solutions and mobile phases to support laboratory testing. f. Maintains testing samples storage and disposal. 3. Executes assigned projects and activities in compliance with SOPs, GLP, cGMP, and FDA & DEA regulations and guidelines.
