LabCorp is seeking a Data Entry Lab Assistant for our Accessioning department in Dublin, OH. This role will prepare clinical samples for analysis by entering appropriate specimen and patient information in a fast paced clinical laboratory.

Job Duties/Responsibilities

  • Prepare laboratory specimens for analysis and testing

  • Handling/Processing/Centrifugation of laboratory specimens, primarily blood and urine specimens

  • Data entry of specimen information in a measured production environment

  • Extended sitting or standing for up to 4 hour intervals, for an 8 shift, plus any required overtime,

  • Very fast paced environment with metrics to meet each night

  • Must meet productivity standards after 90 days of employment

  • May require carrying, lifting (up to 25 pounds) reaching, grasping and fine manipulation with two hands, flexibility, and multi-tasking skills.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

  • No relative experience required; 1-2 years preferred

  • Previous medical or production experience is a plus

  • Comfortable handling biological specimens

  • Ability to accurately identify specimens

  • Experience working in a team environment

  • Strong data entry and organizational skills

  • High level of attention to detail

  • Proficient in MS Office

  • Ability to lift up to 30lbs.

  • Ability to pass a standardized color blind test

Schedule:

Monday-Friday, 8:00pm-4:30am; Rotating Weekends

Our office is located at 5900 Parkwood Place, Dublin, OH 43016 Primary Responsibilities: * Place outreach calls to network provider offices, conducting between 75 to 100 calls per day, to validate current Demographic data * Complete data updates while on the phone with the provider office, or via spreadsheets of data, or returned faxes * Deliver information and questions to provider in a positive manner to facilitate strong relationships with providers and their office staff * Complete provider demographic updates in applicable UHC systems that feed to online provider directories * Manage follow-up activities for timely inventory management of work in queue * Respond to inbound calls, returned faxes and emails from providers with a sense of urgency * Must meet established quality and production metric targets * http://www.brainshark.com/uhc/Welcome_to_PVO This role is equally challenging and rewarding.
