  • Performs all paperwork, technical, and non-technical procedures required to process and submit specimens.

  • Assigns specific computer generated identification numbers, checks for accuracy, and records all items processed.

  • Forwards accessioned specimens to designated laboratory location(s); and locating and correcting any discrepancies.

  • Learns and keeps familiar with lab procedures and location of stored specimens.

  • Locates specimens and pulls from various departments as requested.

Requirements

License/Certification/Education: Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent w/1-2 years of experience.

Swedish Medical Center is seeking Registered Nurses within the Cardiac Cath Lab - Level 1 Trauma Center with Comprehensive CV Service Line including: * Cath PCI * Electrophysiology * Structural Heart Program—including TAVR * Peripheral Vascular Program * Cardiac Direct Program –Streamlined Door to Balloon Protocol * Two newly renovated Cath Lab Suites (less than 2 years old) Position Summary: The Registered Nurse demonstrates advanced knowledge, skills and understands the unique aspects of the population served in the care of his/her patients. Each service also requires specialized skills. The delivery of care is based on the physical, psychosocial, cultural, safety and learning needs of the individual patient. The Registered Nurse may rotate to areas other than his/her assigned service area/s, and will perform only those duties for which he/she has demonstrated competency. The Registered Nurse performs delegated duties consistent with the scope of practice and functions within the philosophy and overall plan of care delivery at SMC. Licensure/Certification/Registration: Current Colorado Registered Nurse License, Current BLS Certification, ACLS Education: Graduate of a certified School of Nursing. Experience: Able to articulate and demonstrate appropriate nursing theory and practice. Experience in EP. Proficient with monitoring sedated patients. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Demonstrates good organizational skills. Provides safe and appropriate patient care within the Values & Standards of Nursing Practice at SMC. Displays appropriate judgment and problem solving skills. Communicates positively and professionally with all internal and external customers.
