The laboratory assistant is responsible for performing phlebotomies on patients of all age groups, performing patient registrations and ordering laboratory tests in the EMR, processing of laboratory specimens, the collection of specialized tests, and performing breath alcohol testing.


High school graduate or GED required


Excellent verbal communication skills

Excellent customer service skills

The ability to work well with a team and the ability to also work independently

Organized and detailed oriented

Good problem solving skills


Completion of a phlebotomy, certified nursing assistant, or medical assistant training course

Certification with ASCP or the National Healthcareer Association, Inc. as a certified phlebotomy technician or other discipline listed above.

Customer service experience

Must have the ability to work well under pressure and multitask in a fast paced environment

Medical terminology is helpful

Driver's License is preferred

The Radiology Technologist performs angiography procedures, assisting with image acquisitions, image processing , inventory maintenance, statistics and other assistive roles as defined by the area assigned. Knowledge of aseptic technique a plus for learning selective scrub roles. The imaging environment includes but is not limited to Cath Lab, Electrophysiology, Hybrid OR, Interventional Radiology, Endovascular. Technologists must demonstrate an understanding of human anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical terminology and maintain a high degree of accuracy in radiographic positioning and exposure technique. Ensures the delivery of quality imaging while remaining sensitive to the physical and emotional needs of the patient. Demonstrates professional and ethical judgment, along with flexibility to be a change agent. Engages in continuing education to enhance patient care, public education, knowledge and technical competence while embracing lifelong learning.. Two years Radiology imaging experience preferred; CT knowledge helpful. Energetic, progressive thinking person. Multi-modality on the job training provided. * Will consider a Cardiovascular Tech with cath lab experience Qualifications Graduate of a J.R.C.E.R.T. accredited program of Radiologic Technology.
