We are looking for a multi-talented, detail-oriented laboratory assistant to join our Irvine laboratory who can (with minimum supervision) assist with: reagent preparation, supply management, filing, data entry, lab organization activities, facility and maintenance duties.
What you'll do:
Assist in preparing and handling specimens for QC (quality and quantity) testing
Participates in lab organization, housekeeping and maintenance activities
Adhere to the laboratory's quality control policies, and support instrument and procedural calibrations and maintenance performed
Enter and review data on the computerized laboratory information system
What you bring:
2-6 years laboratory testing experience in a diagnostics production laboratory performing cytogenetics sample processing and analysis
Strong interpersonal and communication skills needed for interaction with all members of the laboratory team
Shift is Monday to Friday, from 9:00am to 5:30pm
Two years of directly related laboratory experience
Self starter who is able to work independently
