Lab Assistant - Histology

Performs various routine functions precisely and accurately#to assist the laboratory professional staff and to facilitate testing by building cases in EPIC, assist#with clerical tasks, receive and process specimens and perform transcription as needed.# Upon completion of training, assist with staining of slides, filing slides, sending out slides for consultation and referred testing studies; answer department phones, assist pathologists#with clerical duties as needed and perform other non-complex department functions as assigned. Qualifications: Lab Assistant I # HS or GED required, phlebotomy or transcription experience preferred.

Lab Assistant II # HS or GED required and a certified phlebotomist, or AS in health related sciences or Chemistry, Microbiology, Biology or Medical Technology. Lab Assistant III # BS required in health related sciences or Chemistry, Microbiology, Biology or Medical Technology.

Qualifications:

Lab Assistant I - HS or GED required, phlebotomy or transcription experience preferred.

Lab Assistant II - HS or GED required and a certified phlebotomist, or AS in health related sciences or Chemistry, Microbiology, Biology or Medical Technology.

Lab Assistant III - BS required in health related sciences or Chemistry, Microbiology, Biology or Medical Technology.
