Maintain quality and health of research animals by daily animal health checks and recording animal health concerns per Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) and/or specified protocols. Perform cage changing or cleaning as required.
Provide appropriate food and water to the researchanimals on a daily basis. Care for sentinel animals in each rodent housing area as directed by the veterinary staff.
High School Diploma/GED required.
Prefer one year of experience working with lab animals or caring for animals.
This position is 40 hours per week with a Sunday- Thursday schedule. Prefer AALAS ALAT certification or expectation within 1 year. (American Assoc for Laboratory Animal Science, Assistant Laboratory Animal Technician certification)' This is a union position on the Charles River Campus.
