JOB SUMMARY:

Conduct research for Dr. Judson Ryckman. Other duties as assigned.

JOB DUTIES:

65% - Essential: Supports research through an independent and highly technical short term research project under advisement from the faculty mentor in the field of silicon photonics.

20% - Essential: Assists graduate students with their experiments and, performs data analysis, simulation, and/or contributing to the organization and operation of the laboratory.

15% - Essential: Meets at least weekly with the faculty mentor and provide regular research progress updates.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Education: None

• There are no minimum training or experience requirements for this class.

Work Experience: 0+ years

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:

Education: High School or Equivalent

• With a strong interest in STEM and research OR

Education: Bachelor's Degree

• In electrical engineering, computer engineering, or a closely related field.

COMPENSATION INFORMATION

Expected Salary Range: ($ 10.76 - $ 12.50)

Salary is dependent upon several factors including, but not limited to, a candidate's previous experience, knowledge, skills and performance in accordance with Clemson's compensation guidelines.
