Job Description

As a Lab Aide, you will take on the crucial role of managing sample logistics and preparation in our Immunology Department. Your responsibilities include transporting samples from the handling area to the technologists' tables, organizing and storing samples in the designated storage room, ensuring the cleanliness and readiness of the prep area and instruments, and maintaining an inventory of instrumentation for testing. You will handle enclosed human samples such as urine, stool, swabs, and mainly serum, ensuring they are ready for analysis. Additionally, you will be required to move between buildings to transfer samples, handling tasks that may involve pushing or lifting up to 50 pounds.

Hard Skills

• Diploma/GED

• Overnight experience

• Ability to handle and organize human samples

• Ability to maintain inventory of lab instrumentation

• Experience in sample storage and sorting
