• Conducting needs assessments and focus groups

• Emotional regulation skill building

• Crisis response

• Capacity Building services such as recruiting and managing volunteers

• Community outreach

• Health and social services navigation

• Lead trainings/workshops

• Assisting L.A. Works with Days of Service such as MLK Day

• Social Media support List of organizations where you will be serving (you will only be serving at one organization during your service year): - Asian American Drug Abuse Program (AADAP)

• Beach Cities Health District

• Breathe Southern California

• Dignity Health

• California Hospital Medical Center

• KLBRI - YWCA

• San Gabriel Valley

• SoCal PICRT - Venice Family Clinic Specific tasks will depend on the host site organization where you will be serving. Member Duties : L.A. Works' AmeriCorps Public Health program aims to help meet public health needs of local communities by providing needed capacity and support in state and local public health settings and advancing more equitable health outcomes for communities who are currently or historically underserved. Some of our focus areas include: - Health equity and social determinants of health

• COVID-19 recovery, testing, and vaccination support

• Access to services and reducing barriers to care

• Behavioral health (mental health and substance use disorder)
