3Ci is seeking a Kubernetes Platform Architect for our client in Atlanta, GA. As a Kubernetes Platform Architect, you will play a pivotal role in architecting and scaling their AWS EKS platform. You will lead the strategy for setting up and maintaining Kubernetes clusters for a large organization, focusing on automation, scalability, and reliability. Additionally, you will establish governance in a shared environment and mentor teams to adopt a modern, containerized approach.
3Ci's client is a global organization at the forefront of forestry processing embarking on an exciting journey with Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Services (AWS EKS) for both cloud and on-premises applications. The team is tasked with establishing and scaling Kubernetes clusters to enhance scalability, reliability, and governance across their infrastructure. While rooted in traditional technologies like .NET, they are increasingly adopting modern frameworks like GO and Python to drive innovation.

Required Education and Experience
Proven experience with AWS EKS and Kubernetes administration
Expertise in setting up and maintaining Kubernetes clusters using automation tools
Experience working under tight deadlines on high-visibility initiatives
General Requirements
Strong communication and mentoring skills to lead teams through technology transitions
Ability to create strategies for scalability, reliability, and governance in Kubernetes environments
Essential Functions
90 days - establish a robust Kubernetes architecture roadmap and initiate key projects.
180 days - successfully migrate critical applications to AWS EKS, demonstrating improved scalability and reliability.
1 year - become the go-to expert for Kubernetes within the organization, contributing to significant advancements in containerized application management
Mentor teams on Kubernetes best practices and modern deployment strategies
Collaborate with stakeholders to create a roadmap for Kubernetes adoption
Provide a consultative, big-picture perspective on platform development
Drive the evolution and maturation of containerization within the organization
Perform other tasks as required
