This position performs the tasks necessary to analyze, design, configure, implement and support Kronos Workforce Central application with Integration as the primary area of responsibility. The position will require working closely with IT, Business Stakeholders and Vendors to develop and implement solutions as part of ongoing support as well as new implementations. The position will require working with project teams to ensure upgrades and major enhancements have been well tested limiting the impact to end users and Payroll.
This individual should demonstrate the highest levels of customer service, communication, productivity, and professionalism. In addition, the candidate will have the ability and aptitude for leadership and self-motivated, possessing strong analytical skills and business (or other retail) expertise.
Tasks and responsibilities
Responsible for defining, configuring/developing, testing, analyzing, and maintaining Kronos Workforce Central application (Timekeeping, Scheduling, Attendance, and Analytics).
Responsible for working with business to gather requirements, configuring solutions within Kronos and developing WIM and other custom interfaces.
Collaborates in a team environment and independently with vendors, business partners and technology teams on projects, support activities, application development, and standardization
Creates detailed functional and technical design documents, test plans and implementation documents.
Creates and supports custom reports and audit inquiries from the business.
Develops scalable, low latency, reliable and efficient interfaces that meet the business requirements.
Responsible for monitoring and troubleshooting Payroll Export jobs for any issues.
Provides 24x7 on-call support of production systems on a rotation basis.
Maintains current knowledge of industry trends and standards.
Assists in other areas of the department and company as necessary.
Required skills, abilities, and certifications
3-5 years of experience working with Kronos Workforce Central application (Timekeeping, Scheduling, Attendance, and Analytics).
3-5 years of experience working with Kronos Workforce Integration Manager.
Experience working with People Import and Security setup in WFC
Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications with an emphasis toward highly available and scalable global solutions.
Knowledge of custom report writing for Kronos.
Strong SQL knowledge and experience.
Experience with Service Pack upgrades.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Recommended skills, abilities, and certifications
Experience with Kronos Workforce Central software suite, V8.0.12 preferred
Familiarity with middleware systems like MQ, DataPower, and UC4
Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
Must have strong analytical, problem-solving skills
Experience developing and supporting interfaces between Kronos and SAP.
Experience working in a Support environment with SLA's
Java development experience preferred.
