The University of Southern California's Kortschak Center for Learning and Creativity in collaboration with Viterbi School of Engineering is accepting applications for one Postdoctoral Research Fellowship in the field of accessibility, learning, and student-wellness. The fellowship allows scholars to sharpen their analytical skills and gain research experience in the fields of accessibility, learning, student-wellness and Engineering education through formal and informal training and extensive collaboration with established researchers.

This postdoctoral Research Fellow will serve as a research trainee for the purpose of enhancing and developing research competencies. The Fellow will also participate in planning, designing, and conducting on-going and new research projects under the direction of a supervisor, and may or may not work independently.

Scholars who have completed a Ph.D. in a relevant discipline such as educational psychology, public health, Engineering education, STEM education, Curriculum design, Special Education, and psychology, are invited to apply. Applicants must be within 5 years of PhD completion and a PhD must be in hand prior to the start of the appointment. The fellowship provides a competitive stipend and other benefits for a 12-month fixed term, which may be renewed up to a maximum of two years.

The mission of the Kortschak Center for Learning and Creativity (KCLC) is to apply and engage in research and training to serve individuals with diverse learning needs and to empower students to reach their full academic and creative potential. With its extraordinary breadth and depth of expertise, the Kortschak Center for Learning and Creativity is committed to researching processes and interventions that aid in the transformative student experience, especially as they relate to developing accessible and inclusive learning environments for diverse learners. KCLC is a unique academic support environment that serves USC students at the undergraduate and graduate levels, this position will provide the Postdoctoral Research Fellow the opportunity to investigate learning interventions that support diverse learners regardless of their discipline of study.

The Postdoctoral Research Fellowship will work in close collaboration with Viterbi School of Engineering's Faculty, Dr. Harly Ramsey and Director of the Kortschak Center for Learning and Creativity, Dr.

Julie Loppacher. The research scholar will work with both Dr. Ramsey and Dr.

Loppacher on existing projects, grant writing, and new initiatives. This is new position so the Research Fellow will have the opportunity to provide valuable input help to shape the research agenda.

Preferred Education

Must have completed a Ph.D. in a relevant discipline within the last five years.

Preferred Field of Expertise

Publications in peer-reviewed journals in the same or related field.

The annual base salary range for this position is $70,000-$72,000.
