The Department of Asian Languages and Cultures and the Language Institute at the University of Wisconsin-Madison invite applications for the position of Assistant Director and Head Instructor for the new UW-Madison Korean Flagship, an innovative undergraduate program funded by a grant from the National Security Education Program of the U.S. Department of Defense to provide U.S. undergraduate students in any major the opportunity to reach a professional level of competence in Korean by graduation through intensive study at UW-Madison and overseas.

The Korean Flagship Assistant Director will develop and teach proficiency-based Korean language courses, oversee the Korean Flagship tutoring program, direct the intensive Korean summer program, and provide advising and mentoring for Korean Flagship students. The Assistant Director will also serve in a leadership role in the administration of the Korean Flagship Program, working in collaboration with a team of faculty and staff at the UW-Madison and with key partners of the Korean Flagship in the United States and overseas.

The desired start date for this position is January 1, 2019, but may be adjusted to a later date if necessary.

VIEW JOBS 1/10/2019 12:00:00 AM 2019-04-10T00:00 Summary of Major Responsibilities The Sales Strategic Planning Director serves as the Chief of Staff for the Head of Sales, Cologuard in the areas of strategy development, business planning and execution, communications, and culture. The role is primarily responsible for the design, development, and execution of various strategies to improve sales performance and operational excellence. This role will research, develop and leverage information from various internal sources to synthesize methodologies that improve management decision-making, monitor tactical execution, and guide the advancement of promotional strategy. The position reports to the Head of Sales, Cologuard as part of the Sales Leadership Team. Essential Duties and Responsibilities * Responsible for the coordination and facilitation of near-term strategy development within the sales organization * Assist leadership in creating the annual operating plan, including plan development, establishing relevant KPIs, and the monitoring execution of * Monthly sales report to VP, benchmark report for management oversight * Execution against current opportunities (active systems, Big 6 payors) * Provide insights into industry best practices on sales planning techniques and driving action from effective analytics * Contribute to the sales strategic plan by informing headcount capacity and/or incentive compensation planning * Champion efforts to design, develop, and execute longer-term strategies to accelerate sales performance and operational excellence, such as: * Dynamic call planning, by linking promotion response to conditions on the ground * Hallmark experience to draw representatives closer to the patient condition * Profitability reporting: including territory P&L and expense management * Define and optimize our sales process as we continue to scale and specialize roles * Screening certification program for representatives and/or customers * Physician Network Strategy, aligning KOL efforts with advocacy networks through messaging and Med Ed programming * Advanced training concepts like: Portfolio Management, Preceptorships * Lead business planning and execution efforts within the sales organization by managing various aspects day to day operations of the sales force, such as: * People: collaborating with HR to orchestrate the bi-annual talent review process, annual culture survey and succession planning * SLT alignment: facilitating knowledge transfer across the sales leadership team to inform decision making, orchestrating 'voice from the field' inputs and translating into needs to drive for SFE focus to enhance sales execution excellence * Facilitate communications between sales and commercial and executive leadership * Provide initial strategic review and identify key findings and/or leading indicators of value, performance, and differentiation * Communicate and review findings with commercial leadership * Develop and produce Executive/Senior Staff presentations * Serve as the trusted advisor to the Sales Leadership Team * Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure appropriate level of resourcing is available to support the sales organization * Enable collaborative culture and drive organization to improve customer/client satisfaction levels and responsiveness * Collaborate with senior leadership, finance, sales, marketing, and product development to align company-wide strategies and tactical plans * Support and comply with the company's Quality Management System policies and procedures * Regular and reliable attendance * Ability to work seated for approximately 90% of a typical working day. Ability to work standing for approximately 10% of a typical working day * Ability to work in front of a computer screen and/or perform typing for approximately 80% of a typical working day * Ability to comply with any applicable personal protective equipment requirements Qualifications Minimum Qualifications * Bachelor's degree in business administration, engineering or other technical field * 10+ years in of relevant diagnostics, pharmaceutical or medical device commercial experience with 5+ years in a leadership role * Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship * Analytical and highly organized, with strong data management and technical skills * Exceptional presentation skills with a well-developed ability to convey concepts in various methods to drive audience understanding * Excellent verbal and written communication skills * Demonstrated ability to manage, prioritize, and lead multiple projects and initiatives with excellent project planning and execution skills * Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills including the ability to easily convey concepts and priorities to peers, customers and global teams * Experience in managing external vendor relationships * Demonstrated knowledge of industry regulatory & compliance guidelines related to sales and marketing #LI-AS1 We are an equal employment opportunity employer.
