Collaborate with Artificial Intelligence Researchers and world-class multidisciplinary teams to address knowledge representation, reasoning, text mining and Big Data problems in an applied research environment. Develop and deploy novel artificial intelligence solutions for knowledge capture, representation and reasoning, semantic modeling, information extraction, text mining, massive-scale/Big Data management and analytic execution to capture, digitize, model and learn from real-world industrial data. Familiarity with large structure and unstructured data sets, cloud-based development and deployment, open source practices and frameworks and experience in putting intelligent applications in production are desirable.
In this role, you will:
Develop, test, and deploy semantics, natural language processing, big data and machine learning algorithms/solutions to solve industrial problems at GE
Learn about state-of-the-art methodologies and how they can be adapted and improved for industrial applications
Architect and develop toolkits for use by researchers and businesses
Interface closely with GE Business counterparts to understand requirements, domain knowledge/models, and data needs
Effectively communicate technical analyses and results
Degree in Computer Science, Computer/Systems Engineering, Mathematics,
Engineering or related field
with W3C Semantics (RDF, OWL, SPARQL), Big Data (e.g. Apache Spark),
and/or natural language processing techniques
ability to implement, test, and deploy solutions in an industrial
experience using modern programming languages and frameworks (e.g. Java,
Python, Spark, Spring-Boot, etc.)
be willing to work out of an office located in Niskayuna, NY
be 18 years or older

Interest/Experience in large data sets, cloud-based architectures and deployment frameworks for semantic or natural language processing algorithms
