The Knowledge Team (KT) is a group of functional and/or industry experts leveraging deep domain knowledge to enable insight for case teams and clients. KT members are affiliated to BCG Practice Areas, plugged into the strategic agenda, and building and deploying leading edge IP data tools/assets to deliver insight.

BCG's Knowledge Team members have the opportunity to be staffed on cases and help co-create insights with case teams and clients through expert perspectives on industry trends, delivery of proprietary data or tools in a particular function and complex research and analysis of market information. KT members also support the PA's business development and proposals and help to organize and codify the knowledge that enables BCG to deliver superior business value for its clients.

Total compensation for this role includes base salary, annual discretionary performance bonus, contributions to BCG's Profit Sharing and Retirement Fund (PSRF), and a market leading benefits package described below.

Some local governments in the United States require job postings to include a reasonable estimate of base compensation. We expect your total annualized compensation to be approximately the following:

  • In Los Angeles the base salary is between $75,000 - $85,000 (USD); placement within this range will vary based on experience and skill level

  • In other locations, competitive pay is commensurate with the role and geography

  • Annual discretionary performance bonus between 0-16%

  • 5% Profit Sharing Retirement Fund (PSRF) contribution, increasing to 10% after two years of service. Contributions are vested immediately and there is no waiting period

We are seeking an exceptional candidate to fill a Knowledge Analyst role in POP's Knowledge Team with a focus on Organization Design & Operating Model. Acting as a direct sparring partner, you will work with consulting teams to provide training, analyses and research along all Org Design topics including operating model design, functional org design and benchmarking, org design implementation, etc. You will be expected to partner with case teams and clients as they diagnose structural challenges and seek to adopt more efficient and effective operating models and ways of working. You will also be expected to drive topic growth through creation of new frameworks, tools, and materials. You will become a true expert for all Organization Design & Operating Model topics and help us to improve clients' performance via redesigning their organizational structures and changing substantially the way they collaborate.

KT is a group of experts within respective fields or areas providing industry, functional and geographic expertise to consulting teams. KT members are aligned to Practice Areas, sometimes serving as members of case or project teams. KT offers insight into a topic or function derived from BCG's knowledge base and case/project experience. The members of our DRS team work alongside consulting team colleagues to bring advanced research capabilities to support projects and clients. KCS team is a cross-functional team equipping BCGers with internal and external knowledge resources and digital collaboration tools, enabling them to work smarter and with increased productivity

  • Master's degree relevant to Organization Design & Operating Model; 1+ year of relevant work experience in Organization Design & Operating Model role preferred

  • Or Bachelor's degree, with strict minimum of 1+ year consulting experience or 2+ years of relevant industry work experience in a Organization Design & Operating Model role

  • Fluency in English; other languages requested in certain locations

  • Strong business acumen and problem-solving capabilities

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Will not require employer sponsorhsip to work legally in the United States of America

  • Applying Org Design & Operating Model expertise to proposals and sold projects, taking different client contexts into account

  • Working collaboratively and effectively in a group dynamic; interacting daily with a virtual, global team; adopting agile ways of working

  • Communicating with senior stakeholders, being credible and proactive

  • Framing, structuring, and sharing intellectual property, with the ability to write clearly and concisely

  • Working creatively and analytically in a time-limited, problem-solving environment

  • Demonstrating flexibility, and a curious and creative mindset; being open to new things, and willing to propose and drive innovative ideas

  • Navigating complexity and ambiguity, among both internal (practice area, topic team, etc.) and external (client) stakeholders
