Shift: Red Nights 7p-7a

Offering $2/hr Night Shift Premium for any hours worked 7p-7a!

Base Rate: $20.12

Position Purpose:

Supply the various lines with a sufficient supply of cheese to prevent downtime. Main job duties would include knockdown duties. Follow and maintain all related PCP's and GMP's. Facilitate quick changeovers, maintain housekeeping, assist in cleaning, emptying trays and tubs, and assisting where needed. Other duties may be assigned. Overtime required based on Capacity and/or Non-Capacity needs. Work with Leaders and fellow partners to ensure Food Safety and Partner Safety. Understand and execute standard operating procedures relative to position. Perform all PCP and CCP checks required for position. Follow reaction plan for Food Safety, Food Quality and customer requirement outages and by contacting TA/TL.

Essential Functions:

• Must follow Good Manufacturing Practices and good housekeeping guidelines.

• Must follow safety guidelines, wear designated Personal Protective Equipment, and meet OSHA safety requirements.

• Must be able to identify and understand customer requirements.

• Must be able to read and understand production orders.

• Open 640's, 40 # blocks, and 1200-pound totes for use on the various production lines.

• Strip plastic lining, clean off mold, and cut to manageable size.

• Use trim for shredding by blending according to production needs and breaking up trim to proper size.

• Maintain housekeeping.

• Empty cardboard tubs and other trash into there proper receptacles when necessary.

• Operate trash compactor.

• Scrape cheese.

• Stack steel cartons, wood sides tops and bottoms, build wood boxes for shipping spring and steel parts in, and band or shrink wrap all materials into safe manageable stacks or bundles.

• Must be able to use a calculator and calculate cheese usage needs from order to order based on number of 640s, 40# blocks or totes are need to complete order.

• Learn how to operate and setup forklift, trim barrels, cutter, and shredders.

• Must learn to scan cheese and trim properly and fix harp wires, buckets, rods, and pins.

• Assist in color, size and style changes, remove product, empty trays and tubs and assist in cleanup of equipment.

• Maintain Process Control Points, record data accordingly.

• Must be able to bend over, squat, twist, stoop, and regularly lift 50# during the performance of work duties.

Non-Essential Functions:

• Work to correct unsafe conditions.

• Work to correct unsanitary conditions.

• Continue to improve productivity, raw material waste, and service (TQC2).

• The knockdown position is not line specific.

• All knockdown bid holders must be cross functional within the slice line.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

• High noise levels requiring the use of hearing protection.

• Temperatures range from approximately 40 - 50 degrees.

• During sanitation activities, potential exposure to chemicals and wet conditions is likely.

• Chemicals may require the use of PPE.
