The Research Foundation for SUNY's Cortland Child Care Center is recruiting for full-time kitchen and clerical assistance. The Kitchen Aide/Clerical assistant provides supports for the management and operation of the SUNY Cortland Child Care Center kitchen and office.

Major Responsibilities
Responsibilities Include:
Food services:
Manages the organizing the kitchen.
Responsible for tracking and purchasing inventory and rotating stock as necessary.
Provides record keeping needs for kitchen.
Responsible for the preparation of family style meals and snacks for children, based on Center needs.
Responsible for the Kitchen clean-up on a daily basis, following the rules of sanitation, Child and Adult Food Program, CACFP regulations, OCFS regulations, DOH requirements, approved menus as planned, and nutritional guidelines.
Clerical Support:
As an employee of the Childcare Center all staff will:
Be responsible for knowing and carrying out policies, procedures, and philosophy of SUNY CCCC, and will work together with the Director and other staff to foster an atmosphere of goodwill, open communication, and teamwork. This position will assist in classrooms as needed as a classroom floater.
Maintain confidentiality of information regarding personnel, families, children, and program matters. Concerns about day to day operations and business practices may not be shared with vendors, parents/families, and clients.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities, (KSA's):
Effective interpersonal skills.
Effective communication skills.
Effective technological skills, using work apps, familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and emailing functions.
Ability to build positive and collaborative working relationships particularly with children, students, parents, colleagues, campus staff and community members.
Ability to be flexible and be able to balance a number of tasks concurrently.
Attention to detail.
Functional and Supervisory Relationships
This position reports to the Director of the Child Care Center.
Works closely with SUNY Cortland staff, campus and community members.
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma or its equivalent
Reliable transportation
Preferred Qualifications
Demonstrated experience working in the food industry or similar, preparing food
Demonstrated experience creating reports, answering phones and other similar clerical tasks
