What is a Kitchen Support?

We are excited to be bringing great food to our Guests, and foster a fun, high-energy, fast-paced environment. As a kitchen support, you will be supporting the team to contribute to great execution and a memorable Guest experience. Candidates should possess high energy, be outgoing, and be a quality driven team player. Ideal Candidates will have a strong desire to pursue culinary growth in the future or prior restaurant experience.

A Day in the Life of a Kitchen Support:

  • Bring a passion for food and an energetic and fun attitude daily

  • Prepare all required items for line in accordance with approved recipes and portion controls

  • Follows and executes prep lists daily

  • Maintains cleanliness and proper storage of all food products in accordance with health and safety regulations

  • Maintains policies and procedures to minimize food waste, theft, and ensure proper food storage, food requisitions, safety and sanitation

  • Cleans food preparation area and equipment after each use

  • Ensures that standard operating procedures and all preventative maintenance, safety, sanitation are consistently achieved

  • Provides a professional image at all times through proper Cinemark culinary attire.

  • Communicates well with Hospitality and Culinary team to ensure Guests receive an extraordinarily memorable dining experience.

What You Will Need to Have:

  • Availability to work flexible shifts which include evening hours, weekends, and holidays.

  • Must be at least 16 years of age

  • Requires regular and consistent attendance

  • Ability to communicate with all ages, genders, and personalities.

  • Ability to effectively and regularly converse in and/or comprehend English

  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time, and to be able to move quickly

  • Requires the ability to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.

  • Ability to move, carry, push and pull heavy bulk food products and containers from remote or separate storage areas. Sometimes this must be done quickly in order to keep shelves stocked

  • Requires the ability to reach at different levels

  • Ability to obtain a health card or food handlers permit is essential (where required)

  • Employees who work with alcohol are required to complete a Safe Alcohol Service training program

What Physical and Environmental Requirement You Will Need to Have:

  • Frequent bending, kneeling, and lifting up to 50 lbs.

  • Frequent standing, walking and reaching around the theater.

  • Noise level may be moderate to high at times.

  • Be able to work in a standing position for extended periods of time.

VIEW JOBS 10/21/2019 12:00:00 AM 2020-01-19T00:00 Job Summary: The Career Support Specialist - RESEA (CSS-RESEA) is responsible for serving individuals through the Reemployment Services and Eligibility Assessment (RESEA) program. RESEA targets Unemployment Insurance (UI) claimants who are most likely to exhaust benefits and in need of reemployment services. The CSS-RESEA engages UI claimants to provide an array of resources that support reemployment. CSS-RESEA also connects UI claimants with career services, including co-enrollments in the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) program, as appropriate. Essential Functions: * Conduct outreach to eligible UI claimants to notify them of the requirement to report in person to a WFS Cameron center to receive an orientation of services and register in WorkInTexas (WIT) * Conduct UI eligibility assessment and referral to adjudication, as appropriate, if an issue or potential issue(s) is identified. * Provide labor market and career information that addresses the claimant's specific needs. * Enroll UI claimants in Wagner-Peyser funded Employment Services. * Develop or revise a tailored individual reemployment plan that includes work search activities, accessing services provided through a WFS Cameron center or using self-service tools, and/or approved training to which the claimant acknowledges agreement; and * Provision of at least one additional career services, such as: * Referrals and coordination with the workforce activities, including the WIOA Dislocated Worker program; * Labor Exchange, including information about in-demand industries and occupations and/or job search assistance; * Information about the availability of supportive services; * Information and assistance with financial aid resources outside of those provided by WIOA; * Financial literacy services; or * Career readiness activities, including assistance with resume writing and/or interviewing. * Review WIT applications for completeness and quality; provide technical assistance on WIT, as needed. * Refer and guide applicants to suitable employment. * Maintain customer data and documentation in WIT. Other Functions: * Monitor the Center customer flow and serve and direct visitors appropriately. * Provide backup coverage for the Receptionist and Switchboard, as needed. * Able to react to change productively and handle other essential tasks as assigned Qualifications and Requirements: * Must have High School Diploma or equivalent. * Two years of full-time qualifying experience in gathering information, interviewing, or counseling; in the instruction, demonstration, and interpretation of policies in a public or private enterprise; in direct social work; in eligibility determination; or in workforce development programs. Fifteen semester hours of accredited college work may be substituted for each six months of required experience. * Must have good computer skills, including experience with MS Office suite * Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills, demonstrated customer service skills. Preferred: Previous experience with TWIST software system. Bilingual (English/Spanish). Physical Demands: * Must be able to read, write, and communicate both verbally and in written form to express and exchange ideas. * While performing the responsibilities of this job, the employee must be able to access all components of work station and other office equipment. * Frequent typing, writing, bending and twisting. * Must be able to lift up to 10 pounds. Work Environment: Includes both a typical office environment, with minimal exposure to excessive noise or adverse environmental issues, and local travel, including exposure to heat, cold, inclement weather conditions, and occasional environmental hazards.
