Located in Downtown Fort Wayne, The Salvation Army Adult Rehabilitation Center is seeking qualified candidates to fill a Kitchen Supervisor/Cook position.
This is a residential facility focused on providing spiritual regeneration to men struggling primarily with substance abuse.

Essential Duites are as follows:
Supervise kitchen staff.
Train and supervise beneficiaries assigned to the kitchen for work therapy and skill training.
Schedule kitchen workload to allow for timely meal preparation, serving and clean-up, as well as adequate beneficiary services.
Bi-weekly inventory of all unused items.
Plan menus and order food consistent with nutritional rehabilitation and budget contraints.
Cook and prepare food as needed (work alongside beneficiary staff when necessary).
Consult with professional staff as necessary concerning beneficiary services.
Collaborate with Director of Rehabilitation Services regarding staffing needs.
Support the mission of The Salvation Army.
Requirements are as follows:
Valid IN Driver's license preferred.
Graduate of an accredited food service program preferred.
One year experience in institutional cooking with some managment responsibilities.
ServSafe Certification preferred.
Flexible with the ability to work weekends.
Regularly required to stand; use hands, talk and hear.
Frequently required to walk & reach with hands and arms.
Regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Requires climbing two flights of stairs regularly.
