The Opportunity

Effectively manage and assist employees in the preparation food items that are appetizing according to recipes and quality standards

Essential Functions:

Enforce all departmental and organizational policies and procedures

Maintain a safe work and customer environment

Assist in the preparation of buffet and Al a' carte menu items

Assist in the training and scheduling of staff

Monitor and order food products and supplies

Account for all food and labor costs

Maintain knowledge and compliance of sanitation guidelines

Perform inventory and food quality control measures

Maintain current knowledge of menu and products

Clean and maintain kitchen and food prep equipment

Comply with safety and quality standards

Conduct employee-counseling sessions including verbal and written corrective action reports

Provide leadership to others through example and sharing of knowledge and skill

Role model the GuestPath Universal Service Standards interacting positively through relationships with guests, coworkers, and supervisors displaying genuine concern and mutual respect for people's needs

Greet customers positively, treating each person as an individual and in a professional manner

Demonstrate skill in dealing with customer complaints, using active listening skills to defuse difficult and sometimes emotionally charged situations to maintain the customer's goodwill

Understand the goals and vision of the organization, and demonstrate commitment to those goals in terms of individual and team performance

Prioritize tasks, handles multiple projects simultaneously, organize and delegate assignments

Complete other duties as assigned

ACCOUNTABILITIES/SUPERVISORY RESONSIBILITIES:

Effectively manage and assist employees in the preparation food items that are appetizing according to recipes and quality standards

Experience Required:

Culinary Arts Degree, Certificate or Apprenticeship preferred

One year related experience required

Prior supervisory experience required

Must obtain a Ohio County Food Handlers Card

Must be a minimum of 21 years if age

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Able to teach basic knife skills, cooking techniques and sanitation guidelines

Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions and percentages

Standing and walking 100% of time in a fast paced and busy environment

Must be able to obtain and maintain a West Virginia Racing License

Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds frequently

Exposure to 90-degree climate 100% of time

Environmental Working Conditions:

Exposure to 90-degree climate 100% of time
