We are seeking a Kitchen Porter to join our inspired and driven KUMI Restaurant & Bar at Mandalay Bay Resort!
The Porter is part of the critical foundation for all restaurant operations. In order for our restaurants to function properly, we require our Kitchen Porters to work incredibly hard and be in constant communication with the restaurant staff. Kitchen Porters are an integral part of the bar team. It is their responsibility to ensure that the kitchen is always stocked with necessary items for proper service and to expedite guests' food/drinks orders by providing quick and efficient support to the kitchen team.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS, Focus is on, but not limited to the following:
Cleans kitchen area, including bar tops, sinks, glasses, refrigerators, coolers and other bar appliances in accordance with sbe policies as well as the California County Health Standards
Ensures all products and kitchen items meets service standards
Maintains par levels to assigned bars and restaurant areas with product and supplies and keeps the assigned bars stocked with product and supplies throughout each scheduled shift
Collects, unpacks and distributes weekly/daily product order from receiving
Completes required paperwork including bar transfers and dry stock deliveries
Maintains floors and keeps them free of garbage or debris
Ensures sanitation buckets are on job station and maintains proper sanitation solution and clean towel
At minimum 1 year experience as a kitchen porter, preferably in a high-volume nightclub or high-volume restaurant & bar
Must have knowledge of food, beverages, glassware, and garnishes
Must be 21 years of age or older
Ability to obtain Nevada food handlers safety card, alcohol awareness card and Nevada non-gaming card
