Kitchen Mechanic - Full Time (Tropicana Atlantic City)

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Understands and responds to internal guests needs.

Communicates in a friendly, respectful and understandable manner. Politely gives consistent, timely and accurate information and finds answer when unsure. Uses outlined service behaviors when encountering guests.

Meets expected service delivery times as defined by department's service standards or as required by receiver of service or goods. Is a team player, cooperates with employees within the department as well as other departments. Speaks positively about the company, co-workers and guests.

Installs and repairs kitchen equipment, pumps, sheet metal fabrication, stainless steel work and welding. Maintain kitchen equipment in good functional and safe condition. Returns incomplete work service requests to office with explanation for incompletion.

Adheres to safe employee practices. Assists with training of the Apprentice Engineer. Lifts and moves tools and parts as related to applicable trade.

Preparation of work area to include movement of furniture/obstructions. Keeps Lead informed of inventory of all materials and equipment necessary to perform job duties. Performs preventive and daily maintenance on all equipment as directed.

Completes special assignments for management as requested. EDUCATION/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or equivalent.

Ability to do electrical and mechanical repairs using hand and power tools. Welding experience. Must be able to translate blueprints.

Minimum three years working on commercial gas, kitchen equipment. Must possess a valid New Jersey driver's license.
