Qualifications

  • Must have 2+ years of kitchen management experience in a full service, moderate to high volume restaurant

  • Solid track record of success in previous assignments demonstrating upward career tracking

  • Culinary school background a plus

  • Ability to speak and understand Spanish a plus

  • Able to work ten hour-plus shifts, plus ability to stand, sit, squat or walk for extended periods of time.

  • Must be able to work closing shifts and evenings as needed.

  • Able to grasp, reach overhead, push, lift and carry up to 50 pounds.

  • Finger/hand dexterity to operate kitchen machinery, knives, etc

  • Ability to withstand changes in temperature, occasional smoke, steam and heat and work in a confined area

  • Must possess hearing, visual and sensory abilities to observe and detect emergency situations; also to distinguish product, taste, texture, temperature and presentation and preparation

VIEW JOBS 4/18/2019 12:00:00 AM 2019-07-17T00:00 Under moderate direction, coordinates, directs, and supervises pharmacy services (including preparation and dispensing of drugs, supplies and equipment, preparation of sterile products, and clinical pharmacy services) to customers and patients in accordance with established policies, procedures, laws, and regulations that govern the practice of pharmacy. The Manager of Pharmacy Operations has responsibility for the planning, directing, or coordinating of the pharmacy department. This position also provides minor or initial counseling to staff that is required on an immediate basis. This role also serves as the back-up administrator of record for the home health care license, if the Clinical Director of Operations is not available. Primary Responsibilities: * Supervises, schedules, and evaluates all clinical and supportive pharmacy personnel as it relates to the clinical services provided, sterile compounding, inventory control, and purchasing * Directs, coordinates, and supervises all pharmacy activities including drug preparation, sterile product preparation, dispensing, and clinical pharmacy services * Ensures that all pharmacy operations, practices, and procedures meet all licensing and standards requirements established by local, state, and federal agencies as well as accrediting bodies * Maintains clinical skills and knowledge of pharmacotherapy and intravenous therapy by reviewing the literature and attending in-services, seminars, and conferences * Oversees the procurement of drugs, supplies, and equipment used in preparing and administering drugs * Oversees the clinical services offered by the branch as they're related to both infusion and/or specialty services provided * Ensures compliance with all controlled substances related rules, regulations, and Company policies * Maintains proper communication and coordination with other departments and staff * Develops and participates in educational programs for the company * Temporarily assumes the role of the leader for the operation of the branch in the temporary absence of the General / Branch manager * Prepares justification for additional personnel, equipment, and programs * Develops policies and procedures and assures compliance thereof * Leads or assists branch Quality Management / Performance Improvement Program (minimum 10% of position responsibility) * Reviews data for quality / performance improvement measures * Analyzes data reports, identifying opportunities for improvement * Participates in corporate quality / performance meetings * Communicates quality activities and data review to branch * Implements quality action plans to branch * Evaluates results of action plans to achieve desired performance * Provides orientation to new pharmacy employees to pharmacy procedures and services as required * Responsible for all aspects of Pharmacy licensure, as required by the multiple states in which the branch is licensed. * Oversees compliance to, and education for, all accreditation programs * Monitors for compliance with all HIPAA regulations, adherence to all State and Federal regulations and laws, accrediting bodies, adherence to all infusion pharmacy accepted standards of practice, and responsible for handling complaints and/or grievance programs * Monitors compliance with all manufacturer requirements as it applies to FDA REMS program requirements * Provides oversight of the safety, appropriateness, and effectiveness of the pharmaceutical care provided to patients (consumers) as it relates to specialty products dispensed * Monitors compliance with all manufacturer requirements as it applies to FDA REMS program requirements Required Qualifications: * Doctor of Pharmacy or BS in Pharmacy * Current and unrestricted Pharmacy license for the state of CA * 3-5 years of pharmacy management operations experience * Understanding of the regulations and processes related to sterile compounding * Ability to solve mathematical problems * Ability to input assessment data into written chart format accurately and completely * Availability for shared 24/7 on call coverage with other pharmacists every 2-3 weeks Preferred Qualifications: * 5-8 years of experience in a health care system * 3-5 years of Home Infusion experience * Knowledgeable and proven compliance to USP797 and USP800 requirements * Experience in acute and chronic therapy management and ambulatory infusion suite * Management and oversight of pharmacy staff experience * Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage through uncertainty Careers with Optum.
