Job Summary:

We are seeking an organized and efficient Expeditor to join our team. The Expeditor will be responsible for coordinating and ensuring the timely delivery of food orders from the kitchen to the dining area. The ideal candidate will have experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting, possess strong communication skills, and have a passion for providing excellent customer service.

Duties:

- Coordinate food orders between the kitchen and dining area

- Ensure all food items are prepared and plated correctly

- Communicate with kitchen staff to prioritize orders and ensure timely delivery

- Assist with food preparation as needed

- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the expediting area

- Collaborate with servers to ensure accurate order delivery

- Monitor food quality and presentation before it leaves the kitchen

- Adhere to all food safety and sanitation guidelines

- Assist in other areas of the restaurant as needed

- Adhere to all safety procedures in kitchen and dining areas

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Restaurant type:

• Fast casual restaurant
• Upscale casual restaurant

Shift:

• 8 hour shift
• Morning shift

Weekly day range:

• Weekends as needed

Requirements

Previous experience in a restaurant or culinary environment preferred

- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written

- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously

- Good working knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations

- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

- Ability to work within a team as well as independently

- Ability to lift and carry trays up to 40lbs

- Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as required

- Must have reliable transportation

- Must maintain a neat, clean and well groomed appearance
