Responsibilities
1.Empty all garbage cans after each meal in dish room, dining room and kitchen.2. Wash all pots and pans as they accumulate. 3. Keep dish room clean including walls4. Clean dishwashing rooms, sinks and counters after each meal.5. Responsible for the operation of the dishwasher. Fill in daily chart of wash and rinse temperatures.6. Scrape, stack and rinse all dishes. Rack up dishes and put through dishwasher.7. Return clean dishes and kitchen items to the proper storage areas.8. Clean dishwashing machine after each use.9. Sweep and mop dish room daily. Keep mop clean and in place.10. Help with unloading of supplies.11. Keep back porch area around the dumpsters clean and orderly.12. Clean oven racks at the direction of the cooks and or food service manager.13. These are not the only duties to be performed. Some duties may be reassigned and other duties may be assigned as required.

Qualifications

Desire to work in a camp kitchen/dining hall Ability to accept guidance and supervision Ability to work well with others Ability to learn to do tasks as assigned Preferably 18 years of age or older Christian exhibiting the principles of Christian living

Essential FunctionsFood Service Personnel must be able to lift/unload/move food and supplies; lift dishes to their storage location; use kitchen equipment safely; be available for flexible scheduling with some long days of up to but not limited to 12 hours; operate electrical and mechanical equipment; operate dishwasher while maintaining appropriate temperature; determine cleanliness of dishes, food contact surfaces, and kitchen area; must also be able assist as needed in dining hall cleans and/or set-ups.

General Responsibility: To support the camp programs, activities, operations to complete the holistic ministry of Echo Grove Camp. Responsibilities 1. Provide life guarding surveillance of pool and waterfront activities as needed2. Utilize the training you have received to operate a safe ropes course facility in a fun atmosphere of personal and group achievement.3. Assist in all areas of shooting range – archery, riffle & paintball 4. Keep all activity areas clean and well maintained.5. Assist the counselors and campers that you have been assigned to with bedtime responsibilities6. Serve daily in the pop stand and the camp store.7. Assist in teaching or leading an activity, as assigned.8. Set a good example for campers, guests and others including cleanliness, punctuality, sharing clean up and chores, sportsmanship, and table manners.9. Assist in restoring camp facilities and grounds to order at the conclusion of each camp session, and prepare set-ups for the next camp session.10. Attend all training meetings and staff devotions.11. Participate and assist with all camp programming – residential and day camp12. Assist with kitchen and dining hall responsibilities (serving, dishes, sweeping, mopping, taking out trash, etc.)13. Assist the Site and Facilities department (maintenance, grounds and housekeeping) as needed 14. These are not the only duties to be performed. Some duties may be reassigned and other duties may be assigned as required. Qualifications ARC Lifeguarding, CPR/PR & AED, ACCT belaying & facilitating. NRA RSO and NASP Basic Archery Instructor OR:- Participate in trainings if available to acquire certifications appropriate to position Desire and ability to work with children in an outdoor setting. Available from the last day of school to August 1st. Ability to relate to one's peer group. Ability to accept guidance and supervision. Ability to work with others. Ability to assist in teaching an activity. Good character, integrity, and adaptability. Enthusiasm, sense of humor, patience and self-control. Must be at 17 years of age or older Christian exhibiting the principles of Christian living Essential FunctionsMust be able to observe camper behavior, assess its appropriateness, enforce appropriate safety regulations and emergency procedures, and apply appropriate behavior-management techniques; identify and respond to hazards; work with different age and skill levels; conduct activities; physical ability to respond appropriately to situations requiring rescues, first aid, CPR, possess strength and endurance required to maintain supervision of children in an outdoor camp environment; lift/load/unload/move camp furnishings, (beds. tables, chairs, etc.); traverse around 194 acres of hilly outdoor camp terrain; use cleaning equipment safely; operate electrical and mechanical equipment; have physical strength and stamina to lift cleaning supplies and equipment, load and unload laundry, clean, mop, vacuum etc., for extended periods of time.
