Job Summary

Orchard School, a K-6 elementary school, is seeking a creative and experienced teacher to work part time in the kindergarten program. With a maximum of 10 students, the setting is intimate with great value placed on hands-on learning, exploration, play, nature-based curriculum and the creative arts. A strong background in early childhood education and/or kindergarten is a priority in our search to fill this position, along with knowledge of phonics instruction, math, science, art, and music. Candidates will work collaboratively with a head teacher but will be expected to teach two stand-alone days. There are opportunities to extend this 2-day-a-week position to 3 days a week if the candidate is interested in teaching elective classes to the wider student body, 1st-6th. The position may grow to a full-time position depending on the candidate's ambitions and the lead teacher's future plans.
