Kindergarten Teacher

This position is for School Year 2024-2025

Teachers new to the district will be required to obtain the Alaska Reads endorsement within two years of hire.

This position does not accept J1 Visas.

Job Summary: Instructs students in the appropriate district curriculum, creates a positive and effective learning environment for all students, and provides strong academic, social, physical and emotional growth for all students

Retirement: State of Alaska TRS

Bargaining Unit: Fairbanks Education Association (FEA)

Salary: Determined by the FEA Negotiated Agreement

Contract Length: Minimum of 184 days

Job Qualifications/Requirements (please review job description for qualifications and duties of the position):

• Bachelor's degree

• Valid Alaska teaching certificate, or be eligible for such certificate with endorsement in Elementary at time of hire.

• Meet all state and federal requirements in order to be qualified in required content area
