Douglas ESD is accepting applications for a Kindergarten Readiness Partnership & Innovation Program Facilitator. This position works 230 days, 5 days per week, 8 hours per day beginning in the 2024-25 school year, but open to beginning sooner. Position can be housed in Douglas, Klamath, or Lake Counties.

JOB SUMMARY: The Advanced Position in Early Childhood and Kindergarten Readiness involves a high level of strategic thinking to enhance the early learning system within the region.

The role focuses on collaborating and coordinating with local and state-wide early learning system partners to strengthen the overall system. The primary objective is to improve access to services for families, ensuring that children are well-prepared for kindergarten success. Responsibilities include providing consultation, technical assistance, program monitoring, training, grant oversight, and reporting for the Kindergarten Partnership and Innovation Initiative.

Additionally, the position requires active participation in and facilitation of community events, meetings, and trainings to cultivate and reinforce relationships with partners and families. The overarching goal is to contribute to the development of a robust early learning system that effectively supports children's readiness for kindergarten.

Conducts community-based needs assessments working with families, partners, advisory committees, governance councils, and internal partners to coordinate data gathering and analysis to improve system responsiveness to child and family needs.
Develops annual workplan to meet state/grant requirements in accordance with Department of Early Learning and Care metrics and the outputs/outcomes of partners/schools involved in the program.
Works with the Hub Regional Governance Council to continually develop and implement equitable, family-centered strategies to address root causes in community gaps across the region preventing kindergarten readiness.
Provide consultation and technical assistance to stakeholders and subcontractors to build alignments, shared strategies and promote the goals of healthy, stable, and attached families and of school readiness for all children.
Utilize data to inform programmatic decisions and to promote progress toward the accomplishment of the Hub's metrics as defined by the Department of Early Learning and Care.
Identify professional development needs, design, and implement professional development opportunities for sector partners providing direct services to target population.
Contribute towards compliance with all state and federal mandates, including required reports to the Early Learning Division and the Regional Governance Council.
Provides technical assistance to grantees for fiscal compliance and manages KPI grantee outcomes for compliance with KPI metrics, goals, and outcomes. Intervenes and problem solves when necessary to ensure grantees are on track with requirements.
Provides leadership and technical assistance to grantees and partners for development of kindergarten transition and family engagement activities.
Travel within the ESD service area may be required.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
Three years' experience in the development and implementation of research-based birth to eight (8) programming.
Bachelor's degree in education, psychology, sociology, health care, or a related field preferred.
A K-12 teaching certificate is preferred.
Excellent project management skills, multi-tasking, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Skilled in translating high-level organizational goals into actionable strategic initiatives, fostering a culture of strategic alignment throughout the program.
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, coupled with the ability to develop and execute comprehensive strategic plans that address both short-term priorities and long-term objectives.
Proven track record of leveraging strategic thinking to drive innovative solutions and achieve organizational objectives.
Expert demonstration and knowledge in several or all areas of the position.
