Job Description:
Adjunct (part-time) instructors are hired on an as-needed, term-by-term (or per course) basis. By applying for this position, you will be joining the part-time instructional pool for consideration as a prospective adjunct instructor.
The Adjunct Instructor is directly accountable to the Kids on Campus Program Coordinator or Department Director for the following duties and responsibilities. The Kids on Campus program aims to introduce students entering grades 3rd
Classes may include, but are not limited to:
Extended Care - morning and afternoon
Others
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Attend instructor orientation
Complete mandatory online compliance training
Develop daily lesson plan
Develop and maintain instructional supplies
Maintain a safe, innovative learning environment and diverse learning opportunities for all students
Manage student behavior in classroom
Supervise and assist with daily setup and cleanup of classroom
Provide copies of all lesson plans, supply lists to Kids on Campus office in case of instructor absence
Perform other duties as assigned by the Program Coordinator.
Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent G.E.D
At least one year of teaching with targeted age group of 8 through14 preferred
Must document related work experience, Certification(s) or Associate degree in the area of study
Able to work individually with diverse ages and population
Friendly, positive and courteous
Must demonstrate knowledge of class subject matter
Experience in student engagement techniques preferred
Excellent oral and written communication skills required

Classification: Part-Time Adjunct Instructor
Rate of Pay: $25.00 per contact hour.
Location: Niceville Campus
