Position Summary

The Kids Instructor - Academy provides best-in-class, educational/fitness-minded programming for our children. They organize, instruct and implement safe, fun and entertaining activities. They also assist with special Kids Program events as needed.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Constructs and implements weekly/monthly educational/fitness lesson plans following our guidelines

  • Engages in Fitness/educational based activities and skills

  • Prepares and sets up for class and transfers kids to and from programming

  • Assists with Kids programming when needed

  • Promotes all Kids programming in order to increase participation

  • Cleans up and restocks after each class

Position Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED

  • 6+ months of teaching children ages 3 - 11 in similar programs or activities

  • Ability to demonstrate and participate in the activity or skills that is being taught

  • Completion of all Kids On-Demand Required Learnings prior to first day of work

  • First Aid certification, Infant/Child and Adult CPR/AED certification required within the first 60 days of hire

  • Ability to routinely and repetitively bend to lift more than 30 lbs.

Preferred Requirements

  • Class specific certification or license

  • 2 years of experience in fitness/educational area

  • Certification or equivalent education experience in Early Childhood Development if working with children under the age of 6

VIEW JOBS 3/26/2020 12:00:00 AM 2020-06-24T00:00 Prepare new student drivers for successful licensure through classroom and on-the-road instruction consistent with Kansas DMV requirements and standards in order to prepare student drivers for successful licensure. The Driver Education Instructor will prepare and deliver a classroom instructional program for students, plus 4-6 driving lessons with each student. Duties include recordkeeping for tracking all aspects of each student's driver education training and related communications and reporting to students, parents, school management personnel, and the DMV. The Driver Education Instructor will provide behind-the-wheel training that conforms with DMV requirements. The Instructor performs professional services requiring excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills, computer data entry, recordkeeping, and working directly with faculty, students, parents, the general public and other school personnel. The Driver Education Instructor creates an environment that is conducive to serving students while meeting the requirements of federal, state and local mandates. The Driver Education Instructor is responsible for maintaining impeccable safety standards. Additional responsibilities include maintaining efficient and effective operations of all areas under his/her direction and control. The Driver Education Instructor performs varied and responsible duties requiring a familiarity with school operations, a thorough understanding of DMV regulations and the exercise of judgment and initiative in completing tasks. Required Skills * Holds a valid Kansas Teaching-License and has or will hold a driver's education teaching endorsement issued by the Kansas State Department of Education * If applicant does not currently hold a driver's education teaching endorsement, they must be currently enrolled in a state-approved drivers education endorsement program * If not an educator with a valid state teaching license, they must get state certification as a substitute teacher and meet requirements outlined by Kansas Department of Education. * No license suspensions, DUI, DWI or Chemical Test failures or similar citations within the past 3-years * Ability to complete annual background check with an acceptable MVR background check with no more than 3 moving violations within the last 3 years and no suspended violations in the last 3 years Preferred: * Bachelor's degree or higher plus two-years of teaching experience. One year as a Driver Education instructor and experience teaching at-risk youth. * Previous successful professional experience in areas such as law enforcement, paramedic, firefighting, teaching, coaching, etc. Required Experience Benefit Information: Click here for a summary of our benefit information.
