Primary Purpose:Supervise children grades Pre-K-5 in after-school program and assure that each child is well cared for and safe.Qualifications:

Education/Certification:High school diploma or hold a General Educational Development (GED) certificate

Special Knowledge/Skills:Ability to read and verbally communicate with children, staff, and parentsAbility to work with groups of children in a positive mannerAbility to follow verbal and written instructionsEffective organizational and communication skillsAbility to relate to children and adults with courtesy, respect, acceptance, compassion, and patience

Experience:Some experience working with children preferred.

Requirements:Ability to work overtime when requested.Ability to work Monday through Friday from 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm while school is in session.

Major Responsibilities and Duties:Conduct age-appropriate activities for children in care.Supervise and ensure safety and security of children in the building and to and from outside play areas.Greet and communicate with parents daily.Other:Maintain confidentiality.Follow district safety protocols and emergency protocols.Participate in staff development training programs, meetings, and special events as assigned.Supervisory Responsibilities:None.
