Job Summary:

The Key Carrier role is an elevated extension of the Coordinator role. Key Carriers alternate their role based on store needs, predominantly performing the role of Coordinator and occasionally acting as Key Carrier, taking on a leadership role in maintaining all aspects of the store. Key Carriers must have open availability, including nights and weekends.


  • Role models exceptional customer service

  • Creates a positive internal and external customer experience

  • Promotes a culture of honesty and integrity; maintains confidentiality

  • Acts as Manager on Duty in adherence with company policy and procedure

  • Ensures store team executes tasks and daily activities in accordance with store plan; reprioritizes as needed

  • Addresses immediate customer service issues and provides appropriate coaching to Associates

  • Exercises discretion regarding customer service policies in order to satisfy customers

  • Maintains proper Associate coverage in service areas for a positive customer experience

  • Ensures Associates adhere to all operational procedures

  • Ensures opening/closing procedures are executed in accordance with company guidelines

  • Communicates accurately and effectively with management and Associates when setting and addressing priorities; provides periodic progress updates

  • Provides and accepts ongoing recognition and constructive feedback

  • Provides continuous feedback, recognition and coaching to Associates

  • Partners with Management on Associate training needs to increase effectiveness

  • Ensures adherence to all labor laws, policies, and procedures

  • Promotes credit and loyalty programs during customer interactions

  • Supports and participates in store shrink reduction goals and programs

  • Promotes safety awareness and supports maintenance of a risk-free environment

  • Performs other duties as assigned

  • Knowledge of company standard software, systems, and procedures

  • Knowledge of merchandise flow in stores

  • Ability to effectively coach, delegate, and follow-up on multiple people/tasks

  • Works effectively with peers and supervisors to accomplish tasks

  • Ability to act quickly under challenging circumstances

  • Capable of handling multiple tasks at one time

  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail

  • Strong communication skills.

  • One year retail and 6 months of leadership experience

VIEW JOBS 5/26/2021 12:00:00 AM 2021-08-24T00:00 Description: Carrier Sales Representative Department: Operations Business Unit: ARI Logistics Status: Full-time/ Exempt Reports to: Branch Manager JOB SUMMARY: The primary responsibility of the Carrier Sales Representative is to develop and maintain partnerships with high quality transportation carriers in order to cover the freight needs of our customers. The position is also responsible for staying abreast of issues and trends impacting the freight market in order to negotiate the best rates, achieve the highest load volume and most profitable margins. This position is accountable for meeting and exceeding individual KPI's and business objectives including, but not limited to the following: * Loads booked per day * Gross Profit Margin * Carrier retention * Growth of existing carrier network DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: * Establish, develop and maintain partnerships with high quality transportation carriers within the qualification guidelines established by the organization. * Procure qualified carriers to physically move freight for customers as needed which includes confirming that the carrier can comply with pickup and delivery requirements, has the appropriate equipment, and understands any special considerations. * Negotiate rates with carriers for maximum profit while also driving load volume. * Make pickup and delivery appointments that meet the needs of contracted carriers and customer requirements. * Assist in tracking all loads from the point the carrier is contracted through final delivery of the load. * Update system with status changes as required and report to internal and external customers as needed. * Collect, document and disseminate accurate information to/from carriers and drivers and between internal departments. * Provide professional and respectful representation of the customer and carrier in all interactions. * Keep current with issues and trends affecting the freight market as well as maintain awareness of applicable weather and road conditions that may impact pickup and delivery times. * Additional duties as assigned.
