Direct responsibility over identified Wholesale/Interline/Loyalty/Timeshare accounts to develop and execute marketing and sales strategies that drive profitable revenue growth, as well as maintain day to day relationships. Leverage the marketing strengths of each identified account, identifying issues and roadblocks that impede performance in any way and responsible for driving actions that bring about improvement in overall sales performance. Drive marketing recommendations and provide analytical insight into actions and programs that drive profitable revenue, productivity, performance, and results to its identified accounts.
Leverage marketing, analytics, sales strategies, and operations to drive actions that exceed profitable revenue and sales targets.
Assist with developing and implementing new marketing strategies and sales plans across identified partners to focus on Norwegian's long term strategic and short-term tactical needs.
Review and adapt existing marketing strategies based on changing marketing conditions, overall effectiveness, and impact on ROI.
Track, report and analyze the performance of marketing activities, ad-hoc analytic requests, and development/automation of regular reports to help gauge overall effectiveness of ongoing and tactical marketing campaigns.
Manage the account relationships, communication, engagement, issuance and negotiation of account's annual contracts (working closely with legal and Sales Analysis Department to assure compliance of NCL within Sarbanes-Oxley and other required guidelines), with strategic recommendations based on overall cost of sale/total value of account analysis.
Communicate and measure goals for associated accounts; continuously driving growth strategies for accounts to meet and exceed targets.
Responsible for Marketing Fee, IMC, Management Fee, marketing budget/accruals with complete tracking details and cost of sale projections, including approving all Marketing Fee payments, IMCs, special group requests and refunds in compliance with contractual stipulations.
Provide cost of sale analysis to senior management as determined.
Develop and implement annual/quarterly/tactical marketing plans and promotional campaigns, oversee trade show and conference activities and prepare presentations.
Develop group programs for headquarters and monitor spec/affinity group based on current NCL policies.
Create and manage a peer group analysis focusing on responsible channel, in addition to creating, managing, and executing exclusive webinar series or town halls with each account focusing on a smaller group of agents focusing on their needs.
Work closely with Key Account Specialist on communicating strategies and promotions within the Large Multi-Model Account channel.
Consistently maintain collaborative and proactive communication with Trade Management team and specifically sales systems and operations team members, to drive promotional building, testing and analysis of accounts specific promotions and platforms.
Attend and assist with trade and account engagement events. Represent the company providing excellent service, consistent, prompt and professional communication and projecting a professional image at account conferences, conventions, trade shows, seminars, ship inspections and other sales-related functions as appropriate.
Perform other job-related functions as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing or related field of study; or any equivalent combination of relevant background and/or sales experience.
Minimum of 5 years' experience in travel, hospitality sales or marketing.
Cruise line and/or retail travel experience preferred.
Prior negotiation and contract drafting skills, in addition to marketing strategies, analysis and cost of sale skills required.
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:
Candidate must demonstrate outstanding communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills, along with expertise in marketing and selling strategies and methodologies, strategic planning, analysis, and execution.
Results-oriented and strong decision-making skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks while meeting company objectives a must.
Familiarity with accounts and key decision makers preferred. Dynamic public-speaking skills (webinars/presentations).
Strong organizational and follow up skills are required.
Product and reservation system knowledge a plus.
Proficient in MS Office applications, including advanced skills in Power Point, Excel, Word.
Ability to travel nationally and internationally, hold a valid state driver's license and maintain a clean driving record.
Ability to work evenings and/or weekends.
Ability to bend and lift up to 30 lbs. to pack and transport marketing collateral to travel agents, with reasonable accommodation.
Ability to stand for long periods of time for presentations and provide walking tours for client's onboard vessels, with reasonable accommodation.
