The Key Accounts Manager- Building & Construction is responsible for the development, expansion, and implementation of profits, sales, and expense budgets for assigned markets and products to achieve company objectives. Develop customer plans and strategies. Maintains contact with customers to ensure their needs are met. Pursues growth opportunities, tracks progress, resolves any constraints, and utilizes internal resources and support as needed.
Establishes and grows effective customer work relationships that are based on openness, honesty, and trust.
Meets or exceed Berry budgeted revenue and profitability for assigned customer set.
Meets or exceed customer expectations for product reliability, service, and responsiveness for assigned accounts.
Analyzes market and competition data in order to identify opportunities for increased share.
Works with assigned customers to facilitate the day to day business including information requests, pricing updates, review of quality complaints/corrective actions, regulatory requests, shipment and delivery timing/improvements, and coordinate getting information to the plants
Interfaces with PD to transmit required product attributes and provide support during product development process.
Negotiates pricing, volume, and terms with customers that maximize company financial and strategic objectives.
Provides information needed for accurate volume forecasts and sales to Berry Finance, Logistics, and Manufacturing to support capacity planning and line scheduling processes.
Effectively interfaces with customers to strengthen Berry relationship and supply position.
Ensures that perceived and potential customer needs are met or exceeded.
Develops annual sales and expense budget and sales forecasts.
Manages spending to meet profit objectives within agreed upon scope, resources, and constraints.
Demonstrated negotiation skills with ability to close deals.
Able to co-manage new product development efforts in coordination with customer and Berry resources.
Reacts effectively to market pricing actions and competitive threats.
Able to perform cost benefit analyses and make decisions, set priorities, or choose goals based on inputs and outputs.
Develop sales presentations and effectively presents value propositions.
Utilizes tools like CRM to manage and communicate all opportunities.
4 year college degree
Minimum of 3 years in Sales management required
Experience working in systems (i.e. CRM)
Ability to build and maintain strong, collaborative working relationships
Must be detail oriented with excellent organizational and follow-up skills
Ability to handle multiple projects and priorities
Strong communication skills, both written and oral within the corporation and at multiple customer levels
Able to demonstrate patience and professionalism in the face of the customer
Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
3 years in wovens and/or non-wovens preferred
3 years of industry experience with building and construction products
