Job Description Summary

The Key Account Specialist is responsible for assistance in obtaining and maintaining long term key customers by understanding customer requirements and building strong strategic relationships. The Key Account Specialist maintains records of activities and plays a critical role in driving success within established accounts. The Key Account Specialist is responsible for order entry and inquiries as to orders, responding to customer needs, and questions. The goal of this position is to contribute to sustaining and growing Marmon Links market share and drive top line revenue and supporting the Key Account Partner in that regard. We are looking for a professional with a keen interest in furthering client relationship while achieving a high level of client satisfaction.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provides accurate documentation of deliverables to key accounts.

  • Develop efficient & effective customer service policies, procedures, and document including support.

  • Provides support for complex customer inquiries and problem solve at an advanced level.

  • Provides accurate customer service responses to customer inquiries that are complex in nature by various forms of communication i.e. phone, email, mail or in person.

  • Monitors customer accounts and research data to resolve problems.

  • Prepares documentation to adjust customer accounts while maintaining security and confidentiality.

  • Process any orders for key accounts.

  • Establish delivery commitment dates to the customer based on interaction with the appropriate internal departments on production and build schedules.

  • Communicate proactively with customer on issues such as pricing, shipping availability, order charges, etc.

  • Communicate internally with the sales, production, and shipping functions to ensure that customer issues are resolved in a timely matter and the product at the quoted price and quantity arrives as committed.

  • Keep management informed of activity & escalations when necessary.

  • Maintain strong relationships with existing key accounts & assist with onboarding any new accounts, when applicable.

Required Qualifications, Skills/Competencies

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or government regulations.

  • Demonstrated computer proficiency Micro and related system administration software.

  • Ability to effectively develop present information and respond to questions from diverse populations.

  • Ability to calculate figures such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.

  • Professional deportment, high energy level, and enthusiasm are necessary.

  • Self-motivated to be able to work independently.

  • Eager to learn new roles and the ability to think outside of the box.

  • Excels in a fast-paced environment and effectively manages multiple priorities.

Working Conditions:

Work is performed largely in office and manufacturing environments. Hours of work will generally be during regular business hours with at least 40 hours a week but may vary according to special projects, deadlines, or other concerns. Occasional travel may be required. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
