Compensation: Salary + Commission

PURPOSE

Develops and grows relationships with assigned large regional or national accounts. Cultivates effective working relationships with representatives of key accounts and utilizes knowledge of customer requirements and products and services to recommend mutually beneficial solutions.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Represents BFS to assigned key accounts. Interacts and communicates with the customer on a regular basis to determine changing needs and preferences. Communicates BFS competitive advantage to customer contacts.

  • Develops understanding of key account's specific product and service requirements. Identifies and recommends solutions. Follows up to ensure that product and service requirements are fulfilled on a timely basis.

  • Develops strategic plan for sales growth.

  • Carries out continuous market analysis and research of the dynamics of the account.

  • Identifies issues and potential concerns in the relationship and works to rectify. Investigates and resolves customer complaints within established guidelines or escalates to appropriate management for resolution.

  • Strategizes with management and sales leadership regarding pricing, communication, representation and flow of account needs.

  • Understands and observes all safety procedures and practices in order to prevent injury to self or co-workers. Attends periodic safety meetings as required. May recommend changes to improve safety procedures.

  • Carries out other duties and responsibilities as assigned

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Bachelor's degree in Sales, Marketing or related field and six (6) years sales experience, or equivalent combination of education and related experience.

  • Highly effective interpersonal and customer relations skills, including ability to develop and cultivate effective working relationships within current and potential national accounts

  • Ability to interface with senior levels and to influence key decision makers

  • Ability to establish and nurture effective relationships with representatives from current and potential key accounts

  • Ability to interface with and influence senior levels within the customer's organization

  • Strong analytical skills, including ability to quickly grasp customer requirements

  • Ability to multi-task

  • Strong interpersonal and customer relation skills

  • Highly effective time management and organizational skills

  • Strong business, financial, operations and technology acumen

  • Ability to function independently and to operate with minimal supervision

  • Ability to work effectively with others within the organization to ensure that customer requirements are met

  • Proficiency in Office Suite

  • Subject to both typical office environment and outside locations with temperature and weather variations.

  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 pounds frequently and on occasion up to 80 pounds.

  • Work is performed on both company and customer sites and involves driving or flying to customer locations

  • Standing or walking for approximately extended periods throughout the day

  • Frequent travel may be required.
