The Key Account Manager (Key AM) plays a critical and unique role at Euromonitor International. Key AMs are smart, versatile and driven. They have a keen interest in global consumer markets and emerging consumer trends. Key AMs use these skills and interests to help advise globally minded executives in F50 clients based in the US and Canada. They want to work in a European based company with associated benefits, such as an emphasis on work/life balance and continuous employee growth.

Key Account Managers expand the value of our current partnerships by further entrenching our data and analysis with current and new users. The Key AMs work with users in departments from Strategy and Innovation to Business Development, Marketing, Finance, and Corporate Affairs. These teams use our unmatched global strategic data, available in 100 markets, to drive key strategic priorities of F50 clients.

The Key Account Manager primarily wears three hats:

  • A confident and fair negotiator. The Key Account Manager is prompt, professional, and direct in uncovering and answering urgent client needs. The Key AM will be negotiating renewals for our largest contracts. They will need to create mutually beneficial agreements that ensure long term partnerships. Resourcefulness, flexibility and innovation are key characteristics of interest.

  • A strategic advisor. Euromonitor has several resources designed to serve our clients. Key AMs help clients maximize these resources to sustain world class renewal rates and grow revenue. They are savvy and can confidently interact with executives to understand their responsibilities and goals in order to help them best leverage our services. In addition to client interactions, you will partner internally to develop and drive a global account strategy within the Chicago office and across our 14 international offices.

  • Earning a seat at the table. This individual spreads awareness of our products and services throughout the client company, obtaining champions and funders. You will help make Euromonitor's services indispensable, making renewals and relationship expansion essential for client's to win in a dynamic world. The Key AM will use new technology and good time management to create efficient and engaging ways to engage a large number of users within each client.

Key responsibilities:

  • Product Knowledge

  • Understand and succinctly explain all of Euromonitor's databases as well as consulting capabilities, identifying items that can be strategized on with your Client Consultant partner

  • Client Organization Understanding

  • Building relationships, creating a deeper network inside client organizations with consistent and proactive dialogue with multiple decision makers

  • Frequently challenge clients to constructively broaden their perspective

  • Sales Process

  • Responsible for securing contract renewals and an annual upsell target.

  • Presenting a benefit-led approach to engagement and basis for continued relationship building

  • Able to use polite persistence to engage difficult to reach senior executives, following through on long term projects as well as identifying multiple ways to assist/address obstacles in the process along the way

  • Negotiation & support of closing syndicated proposals

  • Expanding our contacts beyond existing sources, developing a tailored value proposition for various areas within an organization

  • Strategy

  • Able to develop and execute a strategy to ensure success of the above

  • Excellence in current role, goal oriented and consistently at or over target

  • 3yrs+ of sales experience, bachelors required

  • Working with F500 companies

  • Comfort interacting with executives within various levels and functions

  • Highly organized with excellent time management, managing numerous contacts including scheduling, follow up, and establishing frequent points of interaction.

  • Strong communication, negotiation, and diplomacy skills

  • Knowledge of consumer market trends and dynamics are preferable

  • Ability to effectively collaborate with internal colleagues

Account managers will be focused on mid-size integrated delivery networks/systems as well as large group practices, County Health Departments, Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs) and Independent customer types. In addition, the Account Manager will provide pull through support for large integrated delivery networks/systems. This position is field based and should be located in the greater Chicago area. Responsibilities * Responsible for achieving sales targets and owning/managing relationships for assigned Accounts. Assigned Accounts will include IDNs, State Departments of Health - local/county HDs and Occupational Health. * Partner with Market Leader and Region Account Manager to execute sales and marketing strategies to support HEPLISAV-B adoption within assigned Accounts. * Responsible for understanding market dynamics and customer business models to identify opportunities and develop strategies and tactics across the accounts in their territory * Develop relationships with key stakeholders who influence system wide purchasing decisions, including committee members. * Ensure effective top down and bottom up account management to influence positive purchasing outcomes for HEPLISAV-B. * Develop and communicate effective account plans and monitor progress toward those plans. * Exercise sound judgement and oversight to ensure integrity and compliance with company policies in all activities and communications. * Foster Dynavax Vision, Core Values and Strong Culture to Win as a team and Grow as an individual. * Other duties as assigned. Qualifications * Bachelor's Degree required in Medical Sciences, Marketing, or Business from an accredited institution * 2+ years of strategic account management experience preferred. * Demonstrated track record of consistent sales and growth success. * 2+ years of industry sales and/or marketing (account based experience preferred) with a high degree of learning agility. * Knowledge of product adoption process within large health systems, healthcare market dynamics, and reimbursement concepts (local market area preferred). * Demonstrated ability to cultivate networks and relationships across functions and other organizational boundaries to achieve objectives. * Experience in developing and managing a range of accounts to drive execution and follow through. * Excellent oral and written communication skills, presentation and influencing skills. * Ability to drive business results and identify new opportunities and strategies through strategic thinking and business planning. * Understanding of organization and strategic objectives; mastery of selling skills including marketplace and account based selling. * Heavy travel required ~30-50%. * Key Competencies: Accountability, Customer Engagement, Customer Discovery, Business Acumen, Executional Effectiveness.
